Maisie’s Moo’s Stay & Train

We have had a pretty tough year as we have lost 4 of our four-legged friends since February, but Maisie has such a large character that she helps to fill the void. We have had Naughty but Nice dogs before, but Maisie has really tested us. Finding Absolute Dogs and Devon Dogs has been eye-opening to say the least and I only wish we’d discovered them sooner.

Our week at Devon Dogs

Maisie and I had the most amazing week at Devon Dogs. The warm welcome we received really helped to allay my nerves and the cottage was wonderfully cosy with additional lovely touches like the homemade marmalade and fresh eggs – thank you!

Daily Training

We had training sessions every day and now have a plan moving forward where we will be focusing on disengagement, dimmer switch / calmness and optimism / confidence. I am, at this very moment,  in the process of gathering together all manner of bits and bobs to make some funky disengagement squares.

Maisie’s Confidence

I’ve already noticed a difference in Maisie’s confidence and her ability to disengage is improving. And I am so happy that I already booked more stays at Bowerland, as it gives ME an extra confidence boost, which, in turn, helps Maisie Moo!

The Trainers

My thanks to Michelle, Maxine, Jamie, Becky and Sam, you have changed our lives and to Mandy in the office, you are wonderful!  We look forward to seeing you all again in January!

Karen and Maisie, the GSD xxx

Karen lives in West Sussex, is married to Simon, and mum of three grown up girls, one fur baby and one feathered friend.  Most days will find Karen volunteering at a local youth performing arts school, crafting, gardening, reading, cooking or playing with her dog!
