Holidaying with Your Dog Pt 2

Another great tip on holidaying with your dogs, and even before choosing your holiday destination, is to check out the local services for dog friendly places to eat and drink.

Pubs, Restaurants & Beaches

Just like me, I am sure that when you go on holiday you will want to eat out a couple of times, and pop in the local pub for a drink or two. It sort of goes with the holiday spirit don’t you think? With that in mind, it is always helpful to have carried out a bit of research before you set off.

Check with the holiday accommodation if they can recommend anywhere, and look online at the local amenities for the area. Most places will promote their dog friendly policies, and if in doubt, pick up the phone and ask them – they are sure to want to help and encourage you along to their place.

Coming to Stay & Train?

Here at Bowerland, we have numerous local eating and drinking places that really do welcome dogs. Some of them suggest that you would feel more comfortable eating in the bar, many of them have lovely outside space – with stunning views of the Dartmoor countryside. If you’re coming to Stay & Train with us, check our Local Interests page for dog friendly places to visit.

We are more than happy to make suggestions and offer opinions to help ensure that all our guests, and, most especially, our doggy guests are welcome wherever they go! Check out more of our Thursday Training Tips HERE. And see our Events calendar HERE.

Turn your struggle into strengths with a Stay & Train Holiday and make the most of our fantastic training facilities onsite? Choose your cottage today.
